Today we will look at verses twelve and thirteen of Ps. 51. In verse twelve we will examine David's plea that the Lord would restore the joy found in true salvation and that He would give the king a willing spirit to follow hard after God. Then in verse thirteen we will begin studying this third and final section of the psalm where David expresses his gratitude for the mercy and forgiveness the Lord gave the repentant king. This is a good study well worth a half hour of your time.
Today we are beginning a new series on the Gospel of John. The content of the first lesson in this series is the introduction to the Gospel. Though today's study is not earthshaking or soul-inspiring it is very interesting and you will enjoy it. We will examine who wrote the book, when it was written, to whom it was written and why it was written. All this lays a foundation for what we will be studying in the weeks and months to come so don't miss it.
In the beginning of our study on the Gospel of John we will examine John's statement that "In the beginning was the Word." We will concentrate on what the first two verses of John's Gospel has to teach us about the divinity of Christ and what that means for us. We will also dig into the Lord's teaching on His divinity which was why John wrote what he did. This is a good start to a phenomenal account of the life of Jesus and why He broke into our rebel world.
John 1:3-11 are the verses we will study today. We will examine the Apostle John's clear declaration of Christ's divinity and the mission of John the Baptist. When we get to the practical application of these verses you are sure to be challenged.
Today we will study John 1:12-14 and we will see a little more clearly who Jesus really is. One of the points we will examine is that the Word became flesh, which is a Biblical way of saying that God became human. These are very important truths that must define our lives, so don't miss this one.
In this podcast we will study Jn. 1:15-34. A couple of the topics we will look at has to do with John the Baptist's testimony about Jesus and about himself. We will close out this lesson by bringing some practical application and this is always important. It is one thing to teach what God's Word says and another to see how it applies to our lives in the world in which we live. So take a listen and grow. You will not be disappointed.
In today’s lesson we will study the remainder of the first chapter of the Gospel of John. Verses 35-39 are about two of John the Baptist’s disciples that end up following Jesus. In verses 40 to 51 we will see how Simon, Philip and Nathanael came to follow Jesus. There are some wonderful truths that can be gleaned from this portion of Scripture so don't miss it.

The subject of today's podcast is about Jesus cleansing the Temple. This comes out of the second half of chapter two in the Gospel of John and is a very interesting study. There are some real spiritual truths here that you do not want to miss either. In this challenging section of Scripture we will learn why Jesus cleansed the Temple in Jerusalem and will also glean some very practical lessons that will speak to us in our day and age.
In our continuing study of the Gospel of John we will examine today verses four through thirteen of the third chapter. This is a portion of the dialogue Jesus has the Nicodemus. What Jesus has to teach the Pharisee is powerful and profound and is of such importance that our eternity rests upon it. Through these verses Jesus will unfold a little more the radical nature of true salvation and how that comes about.
In this podcast we will study the Gospel of John 3:14-21. Central to this portion of Scripture is the famous verse Jn. 3:16. To rightly understand this wonderful verse we need to grasp what Jesus had to say that leads into this verse and then what follows. When these verses are studied together we get a full picture of the Gospel that deals with salvation and judgment. You don't want to miss this one.
In today's podcast we will study John 3:22-36. As we look at John the Baptist in this setting we will see his response to Jesus whose ministry has quickly risen to prominence. The godly character of John shines through as he sees his ministry being eclipsed by Jesus. He also makes some profound statements about Jesus that could only have been known through divine revelation. There are some very challenging ideas that are presented here so don't miss this one.
In today's study we will dig into John 4:1-24. In these verses we will listen in on Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well. This is a soul-stirring story that contains some very powerful and challenging truths. So you don't want to miss this one for sure.
This is part two of the story about the woman at the well that is found in chapter four of the Gospel of John. We will be studying verses 25-42 where we will see the Samaritan woman be shocked by Jesus' bold confession that He was the long anticipated Messiah. By reaching out to one woman Jesus was able to reach a whole town as authentic revival swept through the area. We will also deal with some very radical teaching Jesus presents to His disciples that takes place in the middle of His ministry to the Samaritans. This message will definitely stir you.
We will look at two stories today on our study of the Gospel of John. The first is at the end of chapter four which is about a nobleman that asks Jesus to heal his son. The second takes up all of chapter five, but we will only get through verse sixteen today. This is about Jesus healing a man who was lame for 38 years and the confrontation with the religious Jews that comes out of this miracle. This is a very interesting lesson and there will be some points to challenge your faith.
We are still studying the event in John chapter five where Jesus healed a lame man and the confrontation with the religious Jews that broke out as a result. We will begin in verse 17 and end with verse 27. The focus of these verses are on who Jesus is and what comes out very powerfully is that Jesus is God. We see in these verses the trinity and how salvation comes through Christ alone. This lesson is packed full of sound, Biblical information that also contains some very challenging truths, so don't miss it.
Today in our continuing study of the Gospel of John we will begin with verse 28 and go through the end of the chapter. This section of Scripture is still focusing upon the confrontation Jesus had with religious people over healing a man that was invalid for 38 years. In this portion of the debate Jesus is on the offensive by revealing the terrible corruption that filled the hearts and minds of these religious people. It is very important that we see the practical application of what Jesus taught as it relates to our day and age.
